Make a to-do list

Turn a list into a to-do list.

Any list can be a to-do list instead of groceries. Flip one switch and the words follow. You can also hand tasks to one person.

  1. Step 1

    Turn on Task list

Open Settings, tap This list, and turn on Task list.

The wording changes to match. "Completed" instead of "Purchased," "Tags" instead of stores. Nothing else moves.

  2. Step 2

Give a task a due date

Tap a task to open it, then set a due date. Items with a due date group under headings like Today and Tomorrow, so the next thing stays in view. Due dates work on any list, not just task lists.

Stores doesn't send reminders for a due date. It's a visual cue, not an alarm.

  3. Step 3

    Hand it to one person

On a shared list, assign a task to you or your partner. A small initial shows who has it.

Now you can split the load and see at a glance who's doing what.
