Terms of Use
Effective June 28, 2026 · hello@trystores.app
These are the rules for using Stores, the shared shopping-list app made by defriction LLC. We’ve kept them short and plain. Using Stores means you agree to them. If you don’t agree, that’s okay. Just don’t use the app.
Using Stores
Stores is for keeping shopping and to-do lists, on your own or with people you invite. Use it for that. Don’t use it to break the law, harass anyone, or try to break, overload, copy, or reverse-engineer the app or our servers. You’re responsible for your account and for what happens through it.
Your account
You can use Stores without an account. Sharing a list needs one, and that’s Sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple ID secure. It’s how you get into your account.
What it costs
Stores is free to use. A few extras (sharing, more lists, adding by camera, and premium icons) come with a one-time purchase. Apple handles the payment, and any refund, under their normal process. Prices can change, but anything you’ve already bought stays yours.
Your lists are yours
You own what you put into Stores. We don’t claim any rights to your lists, and we don’t use them for anything except running the app for you and the people you share with. You’re responsible for what you add, and for who you invite to a shared list. Everyone on a shared list can see and change it.
Availability
Stores is run by a very small team, and it’s provided “as is” and “as available.” We may change, pause, or discontinue it (or any feature) at any time. If we ever have to wind Stores down, we’ll try to give reasonable notice and a way to export your lists where we can. Your one-time purchase unlocks the app’s paid features as they exist today. It isn’t a promise of lifetime service. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard process.
No warranties, and limits
We work hard to make Stores reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or right for every purpose. To the extent the law allows, defriction LLC isn’t liable for indirect or incidental damages from using Stores, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us (for most people, the one-time purchase, or nothing).
Stopping
You can stop using Stores anytime and delete your data in Settings (Delete Account, or Erase My Data if you don’t have an account). We can suspend or end access if someone abuses the service or breaks these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and post the new version here before it takes effect.
The legal basics
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
